since 2013 The 1941 Willys Americar was roomier than any early
Willys product, but it had just the right looks and just the right
dimensions to make it an outstanding Hot Rod. In the early days of
the sport, the drag strips of America were filled with Willys
?gassers? setting race records. This one of a kind glass bodied
Willys was the recipient of a no expenses spared build. Powerplant
is a Chevy ZR1 LS9 motor connected to a healthy 4L80E transmission.
It is a fresh build and just as clean underneath. We have one of
those at MotoeXotica Classic Cars, a 1941 Americar 441 with a split
rear window. It has genuine Willys headlights, turn signals and
brake lights. Dressed in black, the car?s paint and trim are in
excellent order, the bodywork is straight and solid but the car
lacks bumpers and has shaved door handles. This car rolls on
radials in front and Mickey Thompson performance tires in back.
Each tire is mounted to a Billet Specialty five-spoke alloy wheel.
The car has been retrofitted with Wilwood disc brakes. Other driver
conveniences include power windows and a tilt steering column. It
has air ride controls but no air ride as previous owner prefered
conventional suspension with all the power this ride puts out. The
black leather seats are in excellent shape, as is the matching
carpet and headliner. There?s a three-spoke, aftermarket steering
wheel. There?s a digital dashboard. It and in the inner door panels
are in the same condition as the rest of the interior. The console
and related shift lever are in very good condition. A modern AM/FM
stereo with CD player rounds out the interior. While the
speedometer works fine, the odo is inop. VIN: 44151969 This car is
