Vehicle Description
This classic 1963 Fulie Corvette L42was assembled 12/21/1962 Please
note picture of NCRS certificate. It was delivered to the New
Jersey dealer early January 1963. I purchase the car from a long
time owner from Madison Wisconsin in July 2014. Condition was fair
to poor as original motor was unreliable. Car was repainted at some
time silver blue, rather than original 941 silver, paint was fading
with cracking Decision was made to completely dismantle and do a
ground up restoration with the help and guidance of NCRS members
and several professional Indy 500 crew members. Goal was to restore
everything back to original per NCRS judging standards. The body
was completely removed and every nut bolt was inspected for
originality and safety. The frame was sandblasted to bare metal and
magnafluxed in critical areas Frame was sound and straight
eliminating and concerns of rust or Collison damage, The original
Vin stamp was located on the passenger side of frame confirming
originality . Frame was primed immediately and inside of frame was
coated with a green zinc rust prohibitor. The body was stripped and
soda blasted to to bare fiberglass All panels are original as are
the bonding strips and joints No damage or replacement panels. The
only exception was the drivers side real storage well. It appears
someone had backed over something and cracked a small area on the
back side of the well. Area was repaired and can be seen in
attached photos .NCRS rules bottom of car to be bare fiber glass as
from the factory Bird cage was in great condition the original
green primer with little surface rust see pictures Body was prepped
and primed with epoxy primer, Sanded to perfection then sealed and
painted with House of Kolor Silver Metallic base and 4 coats of
show clearcoat. Car was originally silver code 941 . Plates below
