3600 Pickup for consideration. The truck is powered by its 283 V8
paired with a 4 speed, floor shift manual transmission. The truck
runs, drives, steers and stops correctly and smoothly. The engine,
transmission and generator have been professionally rebuilt and has
been driven less than 100 miles since the rebuild. The following
are all new : clutch and pressure plate, disc, clutch fork and
throwout bearing, brake shoes, wheel cylinders, flex hoses, brake
lines, master cylinder and brake light switch, complete wiring
harness, tail lights, stainless hardware in the bed, chrome grille,
headlight bezels, side mirrors, radiator, water pump, fan belt,
plugs/wires, electronic ignition, fuel pump and sending unit, motor
mounts upper and lower front shock mounts, wood in the bed,
carpet.
The body appears to be very solid and is very straight. Under the
hood is neat and tidy and well put together. The tuck comes with a
stack of receipts reflecting the work that was done. This is a
great truck and is sure to please!
In 1958 Chevrolet gave their Task Force Trucks a complete front-end
redesign. This redesign followed the industry trend of adopting
quad headlights and a massive front grille. This design change
carried over into the 1959 model.
