For Sale: 1932 Chevrolet Sedan in Ft Worth, Texas

Vehicle Description

For those of you who like the old-school look in a hotrod, this 1932 Chevrolet Sedan Streetrod should be right up your alley. In a sea of roadsters and coupes, this 4-door sedan offers a lot of features that you can't get anywhere else, including a custom A/C interior big enough for the whole family and excellent road manners to go with its vintage performance look. Powered by a strong 350 V8 and offered with some choice options, this steel-bodied Chevy is turn-key and ready to go.

That's right, the body is indeed steel, a rarity in this day of entire fiberglass replicas. As a result, it has a solid feeling that is lost on many rods like this, and the way those doors close is something you just can't find on today's cars. The Chevy's styling is a bit out-of-the-ordinary compared to all the Fords you see running around, and to our eyes, it's very refreshing to see. We especially dig the way the rear of the bodywork flows out to follow the curve of the rear fenders, making for ideal proportions on the body. Vivid colors are always a great choice on a '30s car, and the custom White-over-Purple color combination is very striking, giving this this sedan quite the street presence. The paint is top driver-quality, nice enough to show locally but not so perfect you'll be afraid to drive it any day of the week, and the way the purple finish transitions on the fenders and running boards really puts this streetrod over the top. Sure, it's not a trailer queen, but this streetrod was meant to be driven and is beaming with curb appeal. Fortunately, the bodywork is in good shape underneath that glowing paint and it's been accented with many cool details, including that fine mesh grille insert, the custom headlights and lightbar, and chrome front bumper and matching rear bumperettes. Other cool features include hood vents, rubber-covered running boards, Bowtie side mirrors and LED taillights, and a frenched-in license plate holder that all work to dress things up a bit.

The fully reworked tweed interior is absolutely stunning dressed in high-quality pink-and-purple, and if you like the color combination, you're going to love spending time in here. The modern split-bench seat is supremely comfortable and in great shape, while the matching rear bench seat has been seldom used. The upscale upholstery patterns feature classic tweed patterns that suit the car perfectly and the matching door panels, headliner, and covered dash are a great touch. VDO gauges installed in the woodgrain portion of the dash keep tabs on the important stuff up front, and there's a comfortable late-model steering wheel atop a tilt column that really stands out. Features like R134a A/C and power windows add to the driving experience, making this a car that's ideal for long-distance hauls, and a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/AUX stereo provides the tunes. That aforementioned full-width rear bench makes room for some friends or family, the purple carpets are plush, and the entire cabin was fully insulated to protect it from outdoor elements.

Power comes from a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 with the usual upgraded goodies to make every drive highly entertaining. There's great pop inside, a Go EFI fuel-injection set-up, an HEI ignition system powering it all, and plenty of chrome and polished bits to make it flashy under the hood. It starts easily and runs well, so start planning your road trip now. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission and heavy-duty rear end are critical links in the reliability chain, and the burbling dual exhaust uses throaty-sounding Super Turbo mufflers to make that awesome sound without getting annoying. The front suspension is a Mustang II setup with rack-and-pinion steering and front disc brakes, so it steers and handles like a modern car, and there are coilover shocks out back that help set the stance perfectly. Bright wire wheels look great and carry 185/65/15 front and 205/70/15 rear performance tires for a slightly staggered look that doesn't rub in corners.

A very cool, well-built rod that's definitely going to get lots of attention everywhere it goes. If you love practical, unusual rods, this slick Chevy gets everything right. Call today!
