Vehicle Description
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 23rd year in the
classic and muscle car business. Although Ford produced the
2-passenger Thunderbird for only 3 years (1955-1957), these cars
have been some of the most recognizable and collected postwar
classics in America. Created as an alternative to Chevy's Corvette,
the T-Bird offered beautiful styling, more amenities, and standard
V8 power which resulted in a sales rout of about 24:1 in the
T-Bird's favor. Ford went on to produce millions of T-Birds over 11
generations, but it's the classic 2-passenger cars that get most of
the attention. Our gorgeous Colonial White (E) 1956 Ford
Thunderbird is an excellent example of these charming and classy
cruisers. Beneath that classic hood with the functional scoop is
the correct (P) 312 ci version of Ford's Y-block V8. Additional
features include power steering, automatic transmission, telescopic
steering column, fender skirts, correct paint and upholstery (E,
XA), and beautiful wire wheels wrapped with 205/75R15 wide
whitewall tires. The classy bumper-mounted spare tire looks like a
Continental kit but was standard on '56 T-Birds to provide
additional trunk volume. One of my favorite details, unique to the
1956 model, is the rear bumper with the stealthy corner-exit
exhaust. Cool as the other side of the pillow! This is an
absolutely beautiful classic that's still turning heads at 66 years
young! Ray-Bans and sunscreen not included. Street Dreams
