Pickup. This regular cab with a 6.5-foot cargo bed was made in
March 1998 at General Motors? Ft. Wayne, Indiana factory. Dressed
in Dark Teal Metallic (code 35), the truck?s paint and trim are in
overall very good condition. The bodywork is straight and solid,
the engine bay is very tidy and the cargo bed, complete with floor
liner, looks good and there are grab bars/tie downs mounted atop
the bed sides. The battery bears a date sticker of 11-2020 and the
chrome bumpers with rubber accessory strips, are in very good
order. This truck rolls on Champiro 75 GT radials, size 225/75R15
at every corner. Each tire is wrapped around a factory gray steel
wheel with a chrome trim ring. The wheels are in very good order
while the tires are in good, original condition. It rides on a
117.5-inch wheelbase and has a 6,100 GVWR. Under the hood is
Chevy?s Vortec 4.3L V-6 engine (code L35). It is mated to a
four-speed automatic transmission (code 4L60E) and has a 3.42:1
rear end plus Positraction (code 80). Driver convenience features
are just enough for a work truck, air-conditioning (code 60),
compressor does not engage power steering, power brakes, tilt
steering column and sliding rear window. There are dual air bags
and four-wheel, anti-lock brakes. Inside, the gray, cloth-and-vinyl
bench seat holds up to three adults and is in overall very good
order. The truck?s headliner looks great, as does the four-spoke
steering wheel. The instrument panel has a full array of gauges and
looks good while the inner door liners are in good, original order.
A column-mounted shift lever and a factory AM/FM stereo with a
cassette deck complete the interior. Competition to this Chevrolet
in 1998 included Dodge?s 1500, Ford?s F-150 XL, GMC?s SL and
Toyota?s T100. If you?re looking for a full-size, half-ton truck
