Vehicle Description
This 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback is a restomod done right. It has a
sleek GT350 kind of style on the outside, a driver-focused A/C
interior, and a fuel-injected V8 under the hood that you control
with a five-speed. It all makes for a fastback you can enjoy on the
road and love to watch as it makes everyone take a long second
glance
The paint is professional respray in 2014 that went from the
factory Wimbledon White to an even bright hue Pure White. And when
the whole build has less than 350 miles on it, there's an overall
crisp and clean style that grabs plenty of attention in the
sunlight. Plus, the full blue striping package was painted on top
to give it the look of a true icon. And speaking of the right
Shelby pieces, you have the hood scoop, hood pins, and a clean
blackout grille. The trim tag even tells us this was a San Jose
build, and this carries the right icons from the years Shelby was
building these out of his Los Angeles factory. The GT350R's wide
opening in the bumper is there to let in extra air, and it's an
especially nice snake-bitten touch. This really gets the sporty
style correct, right down to the competition-style American Racing
Torq Thrust wheels.
The full black interior has the clean look that's another reminder
of the full investment in this coupe. The seats, carpeting, door
panels, dash, headliner, and major components have a deep black
appearance of quality. Even the vintage details are nice, like the
proper trunk mat, working courtesy lights, and the fastback's
fold-down rear seat. The sporty style of the outside gets you ready
for a driver's car, and so the interior also focuses on you. That
means a Lecarra wood-rimmed sports steering wheel, a crisp upgraded
full gauge package, and a cue ball shifter that's calling out to
your right hand in all this darkness. And because this is a cope
that you'll love to drive, the cold-blowing air conditioning lets
you enjoy it even in the summer.
The engine bay has the unmistakable look of a 5.0-liter V8 borrowed
from the Fox-body generation Mustang GT. It's great to have this
upgrade to fuel injection and a larger displacement than what was
available in 1966. Plus, this one was upgraded further with shorty
headers feeding the dual exhaust. Not only do you have a more
powerful package, but a fuel-injected motor has a more
everyday-friendly nature. So you'll appreciate easy driving
features like power steering, power brakes, and the upgrade to an
aluminum radiator with electric fan (it helps keep you running cool
even when you're in traffic with the A/C pumping.) The
undercarriage photos show just how clean the full build is, and it
also lets you see nice performance driving features like the
subframe connectors and front disc brakes. It makes for quite a
confident driver that you fully control with the five-speed manual
transmission.
Complete with the owner's manual, this fuel-injected Shelby-style
custom Mustang fires up with the eagerness of a coupe that's ready
to run. So you need to hurry to catch this pony. Call today!!!
