Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Clean, affordable V8 Mopar! Numbers-matching 318ci
engine with 904 automatic transmission! Nice original car! Same
owner for 15 years!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger is in
surprisingly good condition for a Mopar product of this vintage
that doesn't seem to have seen a restoration. We struggled to find
any replacement metal or patches on this car, which means that if
any has been replaced, it was done right! A North Carolina car
since new, this Dart presents as a well-preserved vehicle.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: According to the fender tag, this car was
originally painted Y3 Cream with a tan vinyl top. At some point in
the past, the car was repainted in the original color with the
vinyl top removed. The paint is in good overall condition, but is
showing some bubbling in some areas as seen in the photos.
Nonetheless, it has a great shine to it and doesn't necessarily
need to be repainted unless you're looking for perfection!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The fender tag notes that this car was
originally a tan interior. Looking at the car, the interior is
still the correct color and appears as if it may be the original
interior. Also like the exterior, the interior is in good overall
condition but is showing normal wear and tear in addition to aging
on some components.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: The 318 is one of the most reliable and
affordable engines that ever came out of a Chrysler factory. While
it's no power monster, a 318 is a solid unit and this one is no
exception and provides more than adequate power to comfortably
cruise this Dart, especially as small as it is! While the car runs
and drives as one would expect a car of this vintage to, it is
worth noting that it is equipped with drum brakes on all four
wheels.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The affordable price and the
originality!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: This car is a nice little
driver that is sure to turn heads anywhere you park it. However, it
is not a fully restored car and does have some of the quirks and
features that come with age.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? We recommend new tires.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for an
affordable price on a solid, driver-quality Mopar!
