The Corvette has a 6.2L V8 engine with Variable Valve Timing,
Active Fuel Management, and high-performance dry-sump oil system is
the sole engine of choice.
In the base 1LT configuration, the 2022 Chevy Corvette churns out
490 horsepower at a screaming 6,450 RPM, while torque peaks at 465
lb.-ft. at 5,150 RPM.
All the power is managed by a modern eight-speed dual-clutch
automatic transmission, which makes shifts in as little as a
hundred milliseconds, and the double paddle declutch feature allows
the engagement of a manual transmission with the efficiency of an
automatic.
