1960 Austin-Healey 3000 Mark I BN7 in Charlotte, North Carolina

1960 Austin Healey 3000 Mark 1 BN7 (the two seat version) in Healey blue with white coves. 64398 miles believed original. This is a very early Healey, the 300th car made out of only 2528 two seat roadsters. Manufactured in May 1959 and shipped to New York where it was titled a 1960. Spent most of it's life in New England around Lake Winnepesaukee. Previous owner was Charles Knox, owner of Liberty Chevrolet and a Detroit Diesel dealer who had the car fully restored by Harwood Enterprises in 2005-2006. After a couple of years of light use the car was stored until Liberty Chevrolet sold it to Copley Motorcars in Boston in 2016, who then sold it to most recent owner in early 2016. At that time, Copley judged the car as a "2". The most recent owner had it immediately fully serviced by Boston Sports Cars including new tires, new top, new side curtains, and full mechanical run through and brought it to Hilton Head. Since that time, he had driven it regularly but lightly, having put less than 1,000 miles on it. In 2017, he was invited to show it at the Hilton Head Concours d'Elegance. It did not win (up against a couple of 100Ms) but was highly praised by the judges for it's originality. Over the past five years, he had been making additional investments to bring it up to concours standard (e.g., securing a correct original tool kit and jack, changing the wired from chrome to paint, etc.). The Austin Healey was relocated back up to Charlotte and decided to refresh the restoration at CHL Motorsports. This involved a partial repaint to address light road rash, replacement of all exterior rubber and a series of minor mechanical corrections.
