Vehicle Description
Awesome Ford Bronco resto-mod with high-quality equipment. Original
302 V8 with EFI, automatic, 4-wheel disc brakes, upgraded
suspension with 3-inch lift and remote reservoir shocks, Bluetooth
stereo, and more! Expertly built, ready to have fun this
summer!Ford was perhaps a little late to the 4-wheel-drive game,
but there are many who consider the Bronco the first real
personal-use SUV. It was an all-new design that wasn't borrowed
from a military application and while it was primarily aimed at
ranchers and the Parks Department where off-roading would be its
primary mission, Ford executives also realized that plenty of folks
would want one to drive every day. Throughout its lifetime, the
Bronco was continually updated and by the time this handsome 1975
Bronco was built, they were firmly established as the go-to vehicle
to own if you had to travel someplace remote yet still wanted a
modicum of civility. Today, this resto-mod embodies everything
that's awesome about the Bronco, keeping the original styling 100%
intact and unmodified. Sure, there's spectacular paint and
laser-straight bodywork with no reproduction pieces or patch
panels, but the upright, square, no-nonsense look remains firmly in
place. The dark green paint has the right look for a vintage 4x4
and with a hint of metallic, it shines in the sun in a way that was
impossible in 1975. Panel fit is exemplary and all the original
badges, lenses, and bright trim were replaced with high-quality
reproduction pieces to really make this truck sparkle. Of note,
there are heavy-duty bumpers front and rear, with the rear bumper
incorporating the spare tire carrier, and all the lighting is now
by LEDs for a high tech look on an old favorite.Broncos were never
really known as comfortable vehicles, but the makeover on this
handsome SUV might change that perception. Well-bolstered bucket
seats upholstered in light cream leather are far more comfortable
than the original chairs and plenty of sound-deadening under the
fresh black carpets give it a far more substantial feel. There's
also a tilt steering column with a custom wheel, trick Dakota
Digital gauges in the original round pod, and a Pioneer
touch-screen entertainment system with Bluetooth, and a heavy-duty
locking center console with a DIN port and additional power
outlets. All the switches and hardware are new reproductions and
the transfer case is now controlled by a Wild Horses twin stick
setup for maximum control. There's a matching back seat, making
this a true 4-seater, and there are speakers stashed throughout the
interior, including a big subwoofer built into the cargo area.
Overhead there's a brand new folding convertible top that seals up
surprisingly well and makes a hardtop all but irrelevant. You'll
also note that the entire interior has been protected with a
spray-in bedliner, so it should last virtually forever. By 1975,
most Broncos were powered by the venerable 302 cubic inch V8, and
all signs point to this being the truck's original powerplant. It
has been completely rebuilt with a few subtle upgrades, including a
bigger cam and Holley Pro-Jection fuel injection that makes it
effortless to drive. Combined with an MSD ignition system, starts
are almost instantaneous and the electronic brain means it idles
perfectly hot or cold and never gets fussy on the trail. There's
also a giant radiator up front, an upgraded Wilwood master cylinder
for the 4-wheel disc brakes, and factory power steering that makes
even those giant tires easy to handle. The torquey 302 is the
perfect match for the Bronco, making power where you need it yet
still relatively light so the truck can go almost anywhere. It's
backed by a rebuilt and upgraded C4 3-speed automatic transmission
and Dana 20 2-speed transfer case managed by the aforementioned
twin stick setup. The front axle is a Dana 44 while a rugged Ford
9-inch hangs out back, all filled with 3.73 gears. Long-tube
headers feed a custom Flowmaster dual exhaust system that sounds
more Mustang than Bronco. There's also a trick suspension with twin
Bilstein remote reservoir shocks at all four corners and disc
brakes were added in back to make a noticeable difference in
stopping power. Other details include boxed control arms with heim
joints, a new gas tank, and new hardware throughout. This truck is
ready to play in the dirt! It also looks awesome sitting on those
17-inch Fuel wheels and giant 35x12.50R17 Mickey Thompson off-road
radials.Broncos remain red hot on the market and despite the
quality built into this dark green 4x4, it still costs less than a
loaded up new one. It's fully sorted, tested, and ready to enjoy
just about anywhere. And you just might be surprised how much fun a
vintage Bronco can be. Call today!Harwood Motors always recommends
