Body off the frame restoration. #s match, Pontiac Historical
documented. This is a clean, nice looking GTO that also functions
real well.
EXTERIOR: Clean body, no rust or damage. It's straight as an arrow.
Panels fit precisely, hood lays down real nice. The rubber bumper
fits real good. Repainted original Paladium silver. The metal flake
laid out nice, the clear coat is smooth and glossy. Jambs are
glossy, weatherstrips were replaced. It has sport mirrors. Door
handles were replaced, bumper was rechromed. All the stainless trim
is polished like chrome. Vinyl top looks like new. The windows
align real well. 15 inch rally ll wheels with correct caps and lug
nuts look like new. BFG tires.
INTERIOR: Door panels were replaced. Dash pad is excellent,
instrument panel is not cut or broken. It has a retro stereo in the
factory hole, has auxiliary plug. Vintage Air heater control panel.
Real nice console. The carpet is excellent, it has embroidered
mats. Full set of GM seatbelts. The seats are recushioned,
reupholstered, new trim on the buckets. Correct mesh speaker tray.
New headliner is tight as a drum. Overall very tidy, unabused
interior. It has a gauge cluster mounted neatly under the dash.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Vin # matching 400-350 hp. It looks stock-
manifolds, chrome valve covers, complete air cleaner assembly.
Vintage Air heat and a/c system. It also features power steering
and power brakes. The squirters are hooked up, carb and alternator
looks new, booster is cadmium plated. Clean and proper.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Spotless metal. It was spatter painted from a
gun not a spray can, then it was cleared for durability. Bottom of
the trunk lid and jamb are glossy silver. It has a painted rally ll
wheel with a good tire for a spare. The jack assembly is included.
Weatherstrip, decals and mat were replaced. It's complete and
restored.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame during restoration. Clean
metal floors were painted silver, the chassis was prepped and
painted black. The front end steering and suspension was completely
rebuilt. It has the F-41 suspension which includes sway bars and
boxed rear control arms. It's upgraded with KYB gas shocks. The
fuel system has been replaced including the tank and sending unit.
It has a new factory style dual exhaust with the splitter tips
going through the valance. The brakes have been redone, they are
disc in front. Brake lines, hoses and e-brake cables have been
replaced. The bottom of the motor is clean, the fuel pump and
starter have been replaced. The matching vin number on the engine
is located below the radiator hose. The Turbo 400 automatic looks
clean. Driveshaft has been rebuilt.
This is a clean muscle car. I was in, under and around this car,
I'm very impressed. Tidy, straight and proper. It runs sweet!
