For sale is my rust-free and turn-key 1989 Toyota 4runner Dlx with the nearly indestructible 22re engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. This vehicle is stock and unmodified.
I've been restoring this truck over the last year and have almost everything done.
Recent upgrades and repairs include:
-Nearly full engine rebuild and assorted repairs including new: head gasket, timing chain, timing cover gaskets, exhaust manifold, head bolts, oil pump, water pump, AIC valve, input seal, power steering belt, hose and pump replacement, and alternator
-All work professionally performed and warranteed
-Replaced instrument cluster (the previous cluster had inop speedometer needle, and is included in sale)
-New carpet and mats
-New paint job in original color
-Small rear fender repair
A few details:
-The new paint job is a nice driver quality paint job. Not perfect but looks great overall
-The previous instrument cluster had a bad speedometer so I replaced the whole cluster. As a result, the new cluster reads 233K miles whereas the old cluster read 187K miles. The original cluster is included in the sale
-Tons of extras are included in the sale including original mudflaps (I just mounted these and they can be seen mounted in one of the photos), rear-seat headrests, original fender flares, original radio, repair manual, original window sticker, original booklets and materials, extra interior trim pieces
-I had a woolwax undercoating sprayed to rust proof the underbody last November
-Dash has a cover on it and does have one crack which I haven't gotten around to fixing yet
-The shift bezel is black but I'll be color matching it to interior trim soon
I'm happy to answer any questions you have. This vehicle is ready for its next owner to take it from very clean to perfect, or enjoy as-is. These are very hard to find rust-free here in the midwest.
