1977 MGB Convertible
VIN: GHN5UH427059G
The MGB, produced from 1962-1980, was the top-selling two-seater sports car in history(until the Mazda Miata), with more than 500,000 built during its 18-year production run of roadsters and GT coupes. Most of them were left-hand-drive models sold in the US, of which the cars remain popular today.
Power was supplied by a 1.8L Inline 4 cylinder engine mated to a 4speed manual transmission. The cars were manufactured to meet the US safety requirements including bumper configuration, ride height and more. The MGB was one of the first cars to feature controlled crumple zones designed to protect the driver and passenger in a 30 mph impact with an immovable barrier. All this in a small, little sports car!
