This 2006 Chevrolet Corvette convertible starts with a beautiful
and loaded modern machine. And if you look under the hood, you're
going to see that there's a supercharger boosting the power on the
mighty LS2 V8.
LeMans Blue is a terrific factory color. It's a deep metallic blue
that adds so much extra luster that it was absolutely worth the
extra money to get this option. The color was only offered for a
few years, and it was one of the less popular colors in 2006. So
that means rarity and distinction (even before you look at the
motor.) This was under careful ownership for years, and so that
shows in the finish that this has been driven, but the overall
presentation reflects the relatively low odometer. So all the right
pieces look nice, like the aerodynamic body panels, quad exhaust
tips, and bright five-spoke alloys.
The black convertible top looks good against the deep blue
exterior, so it's nice to see the same deep darkness when you take
down the roof. A good Vette is a great driver's machine with a
sports steering wheel, a tilt/telescopic steering column, crisp
gauges, and this even has a head-up display. But this was built for
comfortable grand touring, too. It's loaded with the best features
like power adjusting leather seats, power locks, power windows,
keyless entry/alarm, keyless ignition, cruise control, dual
airbags, side airbags, anti-lock brakes, and an AM/FM/CD/XM
touchscreen infotainment stereo with Bluetooth. The power top makes
it easy to take back the roof and open this one up to the world.
And you have heated seats and dual-zone A/C automatic climate
control so that you and your passenger can always dial in an
individual level of comfort.
Tilt the hood forward to show off the V8 power. The 6.0-liter LS2
fuel-injected powerhouse was already well-respected for pacing some
serious force, but this one supercharges that reputation. It's
believed there was about $13k invested to have an Edelbrock E-Force
supercharger professionally added. This was the debut year for the
six-speed automatic transmission, which we love for easy automatic
shifting as well as wheel paddle shifters to instantly downshift
into the powerband. So it still has the everyday easy nature you
love in a grand touring Corvette. But when you downshift and prod
the accelerator, it unleashes even more fury for pure driving fun.
And in all driving conditions, it's great to have the fully
independent sport suspension, power steering, and four-wheel power
disc brakes.
Supercharged power, loaded luxury, and drop-top appeal all come
together on a sharp-looking Corvette. So you know it's not going to
stay here long at this affordable price. Call now!
