Vehicle Description
STK 3211 1976 Pontiac Trans Am
Pontiac first optioned their Firebird with the "Trans AM
Performance Package' in March of 1969. By 1976 the Trans Am was a
legendary Pontiac model. This stunning Trans Am is a classic
example of this '70s muscle car that was fully restored in 2009.
The exterior was professionally refinished in original Sterling
Silver w/Trans Am trim and 'hood bird'. Classic American Racing
alloys mount Nitto performance radials. The fully restored vinyl
interior is in very good condition and convenience features include
cold A/C, AM/FM/CD/6-disc changer stereo system, tilt 3-spoke
wheel, tinted glass and a full factory gauge package. The Z-code
6.6L engine (400/Pontiac sourced) was totally rebuilt for serious
performance. (Pontiac's most potent Trans Am of this era was the
'70 455HO that produced nearly 370hp w/10.25 compression ratio.)
This 400 motor has been stroked to 455ci and treated with a forged
crank, forged pistons, Edelbrock aluminum heads and Edelbrock
Performer intake. Comp Cams provided the high-lift cam and a Demon
4-barrel carb was installed. Exhaust is routed through Hooker tube
headers. This motor gives no-quarter to the factory 455HO - it is
strong. Power is delivered through a Tremec 5-speed manual gearbox
w/Hurst Comp+ shifter and the suspension incorporates power
steering and power disc/drum brakes. This '76 Trans Am has been
carefully restored and is an eye-catcher that really runs. ALL
VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
