Vehicle Description
We know you want this 1976 International Scout II because it looks
tougher and is less common than just about any other classic 4x4.
And it only gets better on a full package that delivers proper V8
power and some great upgrades to keep this convertible SUV capable
and distinct.
The Scout just seemed born ready for action. They were built by a
company that only made robust machines. So they commanded respect
with the upright body lines that give it a sturdy appearance, and
the tall 4x4 stance that shows off a true capability. The dark blue
paint is a later upgrade that has a timeless sense of style, and
the overall finish makes sure you're never afraid to really take
this one off-road. After all, you can tell this one was made to go
farther. That's why you have the tubular steel front bumper with a
brush guard, spotlights, and a Warn winch. The rear bumper is also
upgraded steel with a trailer hitch, LED lights, and a sturdy
swing-away mount for the full-size spare.
The interior is built to give you a commanding driving position.
That's why you have a Grant GT sports steering wheel on a tilt
column, floor shifters, and a full custom gauge package. There are
also nice details for added comfort. For example, the front seats
are now modern buckets with plenty of bolstering, shoulder
seatbelts, and a cup holder center console in-between. And all
seats have a comfy cloth insert done in blue. So it coordinates
nicely with the exterior when the hardtop is off, and the material
also won't sizzle your legs. Liner paint on the floor and a padded
roll bar are more signs that this one wants you to open it up to
the world.
International's own 345 cubic-inch V8 means a unique presentation,
and this optional motor is easy to notice thanks to the bold red
presentation. Plus, you'll see some good investments everywhere
from the HEI distributor to a newer carburetor. This V8 fires up
eagerly and makes a sweet tune out of the glassback style dual
exhaust. There are nice anytime driving features, like a stout
Torqueflite 727A three-speed automatic transmission, power
steering, and power brakes with discs up front. While this might
look like a great vehicle for Sunday cruising, it also has the
right combo for true 4x4 toughness. That's why you have the
two-speed transfer case, Skyjacker shocks, flared fenders, and
studded tires.
This Scout has a true distinction it goes, and this 4x4 convertible
knows how to go almost anywhere. Call today!!!
