With its cool long bed style, updated interior features, and a
solid V8 upgrade, this 1959 Chevrolet Apache 3200 Fleetside is a

The yellow paint gets this truck noticed without losing the

details like the intricate hood and rocket-like sides of the
Apache. And speaking of the stylish sides, we love that this is a
long bed because a fleetside is a rarity from this era. So there's
more metal to show off the flush design. And it also means there's
more space for real wood on the bed floor. If you have a
restoration in mind, just think about how cool that would look with
glossy oak. Then again, the patina pickup fan in us loves how the
weathered lumber already looks. And so you can really see the
division of the appeal here. This is a cool worn-in cruiser with
whitewalls and dual exhaust tips to have a touch of rat rod flair.
But when you also have all the best brightwork already in place -
from the chrome bumpers to the badging/trim - it signals this truck
can also be the right base for your award-level restoration.
The interior is the right setup for a true cruiser. The big
steering wheel and fan-style gauge package lets you know this is a
true vintage machine. But it also has the right upgrades already in
place. A cloth bench seat, auxiliary readouts, and a tall Lokar
shifter add comfort without taking away from the overall
vintage/patina atmosphere. And this even has provisions for R134a
air conditioning (it just likely needs a recharge to blow cold
again.)
Under the hood is an upgrade to a 350 cubic-inch crate motor. This
fresher V8 also has a nice Edelbrock suite with the four-barrel
carburetor, intake, air grabber, and valve covers. It has the look
of a sturdy powerhouse, and it fires up like one, too. And the
H-pipe dual exhaust gives a nice tune to the V8. This one likes to
give an authentic pickup experience that lets you feel the road.
But the three-speed automatic transmission also likes for you to
have a proper cruiser.
This Apache Fleetside gives you some fun patina and a ton of
