1959 Chevy Corvette Race Car This 1959 Chevrolet Corvette race car
has been campaigned in multiple VSCCA events and is also street
legal take it to the local car show cruise it around town or run it
in the vscca events. It has headlights turn signals brake lights
horn ect. This lil Cobra killer is a complete frame off restoration
powered by a hi po 283ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual
transmission. The car is finished in two-tone white and silver and
additional equipment includes a custom roll bar, Kirkey racing
seat, ESS fire suppression system, Cool Shirt system, trunk-mounted
fuel cell, custom dual side-exit exhaust pipes, Bilstein dampers,
and 15? Minilite-style wheels. The car has been total refurbished
in 2016 . Service in May 2021 reportedly included lubricating the
grease fittings, changing the engine oil, and servicing the rear
differential and transmission. This Corvette is now offered with a
VSCCA logbook and a transferable clear Florida title . The car was
converted for race use during the 2016 refurbishment and is
finished in white with silver coves, silver over-the-top stripes
outlined in red, and "733" graphics. Additional exterior details
include a low-profile windshield, leather tie-down straps on the
hood and trunk, and a custom front bumper. A scoop on the left
quarter panel feeds air into the Cool Shirt system, and the inner
left headlight has been removed to direct air into the engine bay.
Silver 15? Minilite-style wheels feature polished lips and are
mounted with 205/70 Avon radial tires. The car rides on Bilstein
dampers, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel drum brakes.
The open cockpit features a Kirkey racing seat with a G-Force
harness for the driver and an aluminum bomber seat with G-Force lap
belts for the passenger. Toggle switches for vehicle functions are
located under the dash, and equipment includes a white-painted roll
bar, a driver's door bar, an ESS fire suppression system, and a
Longacre wide-angle
