Vehicle Description
First released in 1967, the Firebird was always the flagship sports
car of the Pontiac brand. Designed on the heels of the Chevrolet
Camaro, the Firebird always carried slightly edgier styling that
exuded performance. The Firebird was continuously built through
four design generations, finally ceasing production in 2002.
Pontiac was known for releasing several special editions of the
Firebird throughout the years, carrying special performance and
design features on each release.
This 1995 Firebird is a special edition high-performance Firehawk
edition. Produced by SLP Engineering, the Firehawk provided
performance features in very limited production. This Firehawk, one
of 671 produced for the 1995 model year, sits like the day it was
delivered new 27-years ago. With just over 12,000 miles on the
odometer, it is clear this car was purchased with the intent of it
one day entering the collector world. Painted in the rare Purple
exterior (one of 41 painted this color for the '95 model year) with
a graphite leather interior, this Firehawk doesn't show its age.
SLP's factory modifications to this car included a performance
lightweight RTM composite hood with functional cold air induction,
high flow air filter, SLP sport exhaust and Hurst shifter. Powered
by a 5.7L SFI V8 tied to a 6-speed manual transmission, this
Firehawk is ready to be enjoyed and admired.
