This is a gorgeous 23,000 mile, nearly all original, 1973
Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow Long Wheelbase Saloon without Division
that has won nearly every award available from the RROC and a First
Junior Award at the Hershey AACA. It's present and third-owner is
the Chief Judge of the RROC who owns Zenith Motor Company in
Missouri. As such, this Silver Shadow is in fantastic mechanical
condition with all the normal systems having been thoroughly
rebuilt. The result is an incredibly original and low mile example
that provides a near-new driving experience. This is the rare and
desirable chrome bumper LWB model. This special-order Silver Shadow
was ordered new through Ascot Import Cars, Inc. on August 8, 1972
by Mr. Richard Bojalad of Pennsylvania and Scottsdale, AZ. It was
finally delivered on April 14, 1973, with its special order Coffee
Bean Brown Paint (Paint Code 062-5039) with a matching Dark Brown
Everflex (Code DH 5567) top. Its present owner has enjoyed the
Shadow for the past ten years. By 2016, this Shadow had achieved
its Senior status for concours judging with the RROC. At that
event, this Shadow scored 492/500 points, attesting to its cosmetic
and mechanical condition. It had accumulated 22,734 miles and was
nearly all original. Today, it has accumulated 23,157 miles since
new and is in the same remarkable condition. In addition, it has
won the Rolls-Royce Award, the Royce Memorial Award, Best of Show
Postwar and Best of prior Best in Show. The Coffee Bean Brown
livery is simply stunning, appearing dark brown in the direct
sunlight and black in the shade or evening light. The paint is all
original except the hood has been repainted. There are a few very
small flaws as shown in the photos, but they are only visible upon
close inspection. The Dark Brown Everflex top is also original and
in excellent condition today. The chrome and stainless steel are
also in excellent condition. The interior is also all original, in
its special-order Champagne Leather (VM 3099) that is in beautiful
original condition. The leather is without any defects and is still
fairly soft and supple with only minor creasing from its 23,000
miles of use. The leather has never been dyed or touched up. The
original carpet is also in excellent condition and even the
sheepskin mouton overlays are original, but are starting to show
their age. The wood has some light cracking but overall is in
beautiful condition. The dashpad and knee pad were custom ordered
to be in Champagne leather rather than the customary black. It also
features its original AM/FM Stereo and separate 8-track cassette
player. The engine compartment and undercarriage are in very nice
original condition and well detailed for show. Its present owner
rebuilt all the hydraulics, suspension, brakes and other common
areas of maintenance for the Silver Shadows. This Shadow is now a
trouble-free and beautiful example, whether for the show field or
for touring. Everything works as it should. During our test drive
with the Shadow, we cruised at 90 mph on the highway with perfect
smoothness and stability. We recommend you review the detailed
judging sheets from the RROC concours event on our website. For
