Vehicle Description
This 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is the one for true collectors. It's
from the final year for the now legendary R107 model designation.
And the bright red paint has a terrific shine because this is a
well-respected car where even the low odometer is believed to
represent the full actual mileage and lines up with the recorded
mileage in the CARFAX report.
When a car is believed to have only averaged about 1,300 miles
annually, you know it has been treated as something special. That
means a well-respected appearance that shows only signs of the
occasional pleasure drives. The Signal Red exterior has the kind of
flare that draws the right kind of attention, but it retains its
full sophistication thanks to the subtle creamy tan pinstripe and
those iconic Mercedes alloy wheels. The black folding roof matches
so nicely with the bumpers that this car almost has a two-tone
presence, and when you want a coupe-like profile, the optional
hardtop goes on with Teutonic precision.
While both roofs look excellent, we all know a car like this is
best for open-top fun. That's why the exterior pinstripe
coordinates so nicely with the tan leather interior. This is quite
inviting with nice details like plush carpeting, clean door panels,
smooth glossy wood trim, and a grippy factory steering wheel. This
has a long list of desirable conveniences such as power windows,
power locks, power steering, cruise control, and R134a air
conditioning (it will need servicing). Because this was built in
1989, there are also more modern features than most R107s, such as
a third brake light and a driver's airbag. There are also the right
upgrades, like an AM/FM/CD stereo and tinted windows. And a nice
set of aftermarket alloys come with the sale if you want a more
unique cruiser and/or want a separate set of tires for a different
driving personality.
The 560SL ruled the road with a large 5.6-liter fuel-injected V8.
This had the torque to rival a Rolls-Royce, and it delivered its
performance just as smoothly. Out on the road, the fully
independent chassis has the perfect balance of elastic comfort and
tight handling. The four-speed automatic transmission also strikes
a balance between performance and overdrive comfort cruising. It's
finished off with four-wheel power disc brakes. As you look over
the full photos package, don't forget about the undercarriage. It's
another one of the places that showcases the clean quality that
comes from a low-mileage car.
Complete with the owner's manual, they say that class is not
something that can't be bought, but purchasing this bright and
respected 560SL proves them wrong. Call today!!!
