For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in Costa Mesa, California

Vehicle Description

Thanks for viewing our 1969 Camaro! This immaculate Resto-mod was the subject of a custom build completed under prior ownership in 2014 that included a replacement body shell, a repaint, overhauls of the braking and suspension systems, and an interior refresh. The car is finished in silver with black racing stripes over a black leather interior and is powered by a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 paired with a six-speed Tremec T56 manual transmission and a Ford 9″ rear end. Equipment includes 20″ Intro three-piece wheels, a Hurst shifter, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, power windows and locks, billet headlight covers, and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo with satellite radio and Bluetooth connectivity.

The car was refurbished using a reproduction body shell and was painted in October 2009 by STS Kustoms of Upland, California. The body is finished in silver with black-painted stripes, and exterior details include painted bumpers, a rear deck spoiler, a front chin spoiler, billet RS-style headlight covers, front fog lights, and dual body-color side mirrors.

Three-piece 18″ Intro wheels feature gray-finished and are wrapped in BFGoodrich g-Force T/A tires measuring 265/35 up front and 335/30 out back. Braking is handled by cross-drilled rotors paired with Wilwood calipers at all four corners. A Detroit Speed four-link rear suspension kit has been fitted along with Koni coilovers, Chris Alston’s Chassisworks sway bars, and aftermarket control arms. The car is equipped with power rack-and-pinion steering.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather with contrasting white stitching that extends to the matching dashboard, center console, door panels, and carpets. Appointments include a custom headliner, a center console with cupholders, a Hurst shifter, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, an aftermarket air conditioning system, power windows and locks, and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo with satellite radio and Bluetooth connectivity.

The leather-wrapped Grant steering wheel frames AutoMeter gauges consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage. The digital odometer shows 269 miles, approximately 100 of which were added by the current owner.

The replacement 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was sourced from CBM Motorsports of Rancho Cucamonga, California, and is equipped with a FAST intake manifold, a 95mm throttle body, a Ron Davis radiator, CNC ported cylinder heads, and Lemons long-tube exhaust headers. Dynamometer test results are visible in the gallery below along with build records.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement six-speed Tremec T56 manual transmission along with a Ford 9″ rear end. A fabricated dual exhaust system has been fitted and utilizes Magnaflow mufflers.
