1970 Chevrolet C-10 Custom
Car History
Here at Adventure Classics, we're often able to spot trends before
they become widespread, just by watching what our inventory does.
And lately, trucks like this 1970 Chevrolet C10 Stepsides have been
red hot, perhaps suggesting that these handsome trucks are finally
coming into their own as legitimate collector pieces.
Of course, it's hard to argue against them when they look this good
and still offer a measure of practicality that most hobby vehicles
can't touch.
We have a sharp 1970 Chevrolet C-10 custom pickup truck for sale
here at Adventure Classics painted in a great shade of red and
showing a lot of originality as well as some upgrades.
Engine & Drivetrain
Our C10 is powered by a great looking and strong running correct
350 cubic inch small block Chevy engine and 3-speed automatic
transmission. It features power steering and power brakes, and what
looks to be the original 4-barrel carburetor on the factory intake
that like the heads and valve covers, are painted in Chevrolet
Orange paint like they left the factory in.
The engine has the factory black air cleaner, cast iron exhaust
headers, all stock looking belts and hoses and is sitting in an
orange body color coordinated painted inner fenders and firewall,
and very sharp detailed and constructed engine compartment.
The TH350 3-speed automatic transmission shifts crisply and there's
a rugged rear end on the coil spring suspension. And who doesn't
love those custom mag wheels with black sidewall tires that give
the truck a racy look.
Interior
The interior is a custom blend of originality with the red body
color painted dash with its billet steering wheel, great dash and
gauges, Chevrolet Bow Tie Logo radio system, custom black cloth and
vinyl bench seat with red pipping, wood grain inserts on the door
panels, seatbelts, as well as black floor mats.
You can see that a lot of money went into freshening this truck,
making it comfortable and easy to drive.
Exterior
The stepside bed/regular cab setup is by far the most popular
today, combining sporty good looks with the most compact and
lightweight body style. This one is finished in bright red paint
that looks muscular and aggressive, without distracting from the
original design's clean lines.
It has shiny chrome bumpers, grille, and taillights with a fully
refinished bed that offers a beautifully refinished wood floor with
stainless trim.
Conclusion
The 1970 Chevrolet C-10 Stepside Custom we have here at Adventure
Classics looks great, runs strong and is an absolute
showstopper.
This is a must add to your collection if you are looking for an
iconic Chevy C10 truck as it represents a great way to get into the
hobby with a high-quality truck that is a fun to drive and a
practical way to drive a cool old vehicle for not a lot of
money.
