Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1951 MG TD Roadster. This
TD is a three-owner vehicle that spent most of its life in sunny
Hawaii. The first owner was an Air Force officer who kept the car
until 2007; the second owner kept the car in Hawaii for ten years
and performed an extensive amount of maintenance (including a top
end engine rebuild) and he drove it regularly.
The current owner imported the TD to Georgia in 2017 and
subsequently invested over $8,000 in engine work refreshing the
bottom end, resealing it and replacing the timing chain, tensioner
and water pump - it runs great. The body is straight and corrosion
free, the paint has a nice shine but shows some crazing and a few
minor imperfections. The tan interior is in good condition and the
convertible top and boot are newer, as are the white wall tires
(note that the white vinyl on the side curtains still needs to be
trimmed around the plastic window inserts - the clear plastic
sandwiched between is in perfect condition).
This is a good example with an interesting history that is ready to
be enjoyed. A binder full of service records and correspondence
from previous owners in included. For more information about this
