1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Custom Hardtop Coupe brought to you by Zoom
Classic Cars. Mostly complete running and driving project car with
454CI with 700 R4 Automatic Transmission and many new parts
including the following new carb, electronic ignition, cam shaft,
lifters, push rods, roller rocker, aluminum radiator & 3 inch
exhaust headers. Basically full top end of engine has been rebuilt.
Transmission shifts with a new Lokar shifter. The Ford 9 inch
rearend has been narrowed with Dana axles and the rear springs have
been pocketed into the frame. The Chassis features all tubular
control arms in the front end, has a 605 Power steering box and all
of the brake components have been replaced. The car has been mini
tubbed. Lots of new trim on the car from Classic Chevrolet
including all the side trim and brand new gold emblem package on
hood, trunk and front fenders with all the remaining stainless
steel trim around the windshield and rear window buffed and
polished. All the front trim, bumper, grille bar, hoodbar and grill
are all brand new. All the body panels line up nicely. Interior
needs to be completed and has new Dakota Digital gauges, brand new
clock and stock steering. Sound deadner installed under brand new
carpeting. Headliner in nice condition. Previous owner began
installing late model brown leather power bucket seats which are
functional but not wired. Rear seat with springs only is original
to the car and has to be reupholstered. Car will need full door
panels and a windshield wiper motor installed. Owner has purchased
brand new factory door panels on August 16th. These will need to be
upholstered and installed. Previous owner had removed the heating
unit but it has been recently reinstalled, connected and works as
it should. Also have the original front bench seat as shown with
brand new kick plates that woud need to be completely
reupholstered. All the glass on the car is in excellent condition
with rear glass being brand new. Car rides on 4 brand new Hoosier
tires mounted on polished Centerline aluminum rims. Very clean
undercarriage featuring stainless steel dual exhaust. It appears
that the two quarter panels and a floorboard were replaced at one
time but the work was done very well. Undercarriage was painted to
match body. No evidence of any rust. Color is a bluish Green Aqua
said to be a late model Honda color and is in overall very good
condition with some minor blemishes. Lots of additional parts,
including brand new interior door & window handles included. If you
are looking for a solid 57 Bel Air project with much of the work
