For Sale: 1974 Ford Galaxie in Concord, North Carolina
This classic, unmolested 1974 Ford 2-door hardtop is one of the
last Galaxie 500s. In 1975 Ford consolidated all of their full-size
cars under the LTD nameplate. The original Ginger Brown finish is
in good condition. Accents include full vinyl roof and 15" steel
wheels w/stunning factory wire-wheel hubcaps that mount
Coker/Maxiss whitewall radials. Inside, the mostly original Brown
vinyl interior is in very good condition. The front seat has been
carefully reupholstered and the Galaxie is equipped with air
conditioning, tinted windows, simulated English Oak trim and
factory AM/FM/Cassette sound system. Horsepower is provided by a
400ci '335 Series" V8. These 335 motors shared many components with
the venerable Cleveland powerplants, but had higher decks and a
longer stroke - a very high torque motor. The 400 was designed with
a 2-barrel carburetor to run fine on regular octane fuel. This
engine is said to have never required a rebuild and is backed by
Ford's excellent C6 3-speed 'SelectShift Cruise-O-Matic
transmission. Fourth-generation Galaxies were fitted with coil
springs at all four corners and equipped with power steering and
power disc/drum brakes. This Blue Oval classic will look good in
your garage. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
