2012 Ford Shelby Cobra GT500 Mustang
This a two owner, 49K mile animal... Literally, a Shelby Cobra Mustang.
The story is a bit sad. The original owner was business partners with "Martin". The original owner purchased the car new in mid 2011 at Stamford Ford/Lincoln in CT and only drove the car several thousand miles before giving it to Martin as part of their business partnership ending. Martin always loved the car and his partner wanted him to have the car. Martin drove the car a bit more, putting about 40,000 miles on the car in the time he owned it, from late 2013 through the last year, wracking up about 5000 miles per year. Unfortunately, Martin passed away earlier this year and now the car is up for sale. His widow says the 550 HP and 510 lb ft of torque are WAY too much for her, although she did enjoy riding shotgun with her husband.
This example is in VERY good condition. The only issue is a rub along the left rear wheel well and a point of touch up paint from the same episode of garage door rubber contact.
From the factory, it came equipped with the Electronic Package and the SVT performance package, plus some other nice options.
Standard features include the 5.4 L supercharged V8, 6 speed manual transmission, Kona Blue Metallic paint (with stripe delete), Black/Charcoal interior-upgraded to the Recaro leather buckets, power locks, power windows, AC (dual zone), Brembo power disc brakes, power mirrors, air bags, GT500 floor mats and a bunch more. The options are the aforementioned plus the glass roof option, the SVT package setting the car up with 3.73 w/Limited Slip Axle Ratio; Unique Shift Knob; Unique Rear Shock Absorbers; Unique Spoiler; Unique F&R Springs; Unique ambient lighting, Unique F&R Stabilizer Bars; P265/40ZR19 Front Tires; P285/35ZR20 Rear Tires; Unique Painted Forged Aluminum Wheels (a couple of the wheels have some scrapes).
Aside from the previously communicated paint issue, this car is near perfect and runs and drives like a new car. It has been well cared for and the CarFax shows no issues.
Built in the true spirit of the other Shelby Mustangs, the 2012 Shelby Cobra GT 500 is an animal and can bite you if you're not careful.
The asking price on this beautiful pony car is a fairly firm $42,000.
