1980 International Scout Traveler, Diesel This diesel, 1980
International Harvester Scout Traveler has the potential to be a
very nice rig! I have too many other projects currently and simply
do not have the time to restore it. The engine says its a SD 33 on
the valve cover, however, it is a SD 33T (which means it has the
turbo). Manual transmission and 4WD. I left the air filter holder
off in one of the pictures to display the turbo. The gas tank was
removed and taken to a radiator shop where it was dipped over night
to clean it out recently and a new fuel sending unit was installed
afterwards. The engine has new glow plugs, new fuel filter and a
fresh oil change. The brakes work and it has a block heater. The
engine will turn over and run for a few seconds but then dies. I
haven't invested too much time in diagnosing it nor am I a diesel
expert. With that, it doesn't drive and will need to be towed or I
can deliver within a reasonable distance for an additional fee for
gas, etc. The passenger door is currently stuck shut and I haven't
attempted to diagnose it. I have the title. Please see pictures for
more details. Please Note The Following **Vehicle Location is at
