Vehicle Description
This 1971 Chevrolet Impala hardtop coupe is one of the most
interesting mixes of survivor and upgrades you're going to find. It
has cool originality everywhere from the paint to the mileage. And
that's joined by modern pieces, like the wheels and added pep to
the small block V8. It makes for a total package that is both
affordable and distinctly attractive.
The 1970s were all about earth-tones, so this Cottonwood Green
paint with a green vinyl roof is a great way to represent the era.
And more than just the right colors, this package shows all signs
of being all original. The paint has a cool matte effect from age,
and the top is clean and complete but weathered. That makes for
what you want in a survivor. After all, there are a lot of us who
marvel at a look that proudly shows decades of history. So while
the price leaves room in the budget for a respray, a car is only
original once. The full-length trim and overall panel quality show
off a car that has been treated with respect. In fact, we're told
this was a long-term family-owned car, and so there's extra care
everywhere, right down to those shining chrome on the bezels,
rockers, and form-fitting chrome bumpers. And it's this good shine
that just makes for a natural upgrade to the cool 22-inch wheels
for a touch of "donk" style on this survivor.
There's even more cool green inside. It's a factory-correct color
package that keeps its originality in plenty of places, including
the pleated door panels, plush carpeting, smooth headliner, and
premium wood-like trim on the dash. And we especially love the
classic seats with button-top detailing and intricate cloth
inserts. The low odometer is believed to reflect the full actual
mileage, and the overall clean stock style inside really reinforces
this feeling of less use and proper care. The driver has a command
position with the stock dual-spoke steering wheel that gives you a
nice view of the long speedometer and all the features. This
includes the factory air conditioning (it will need servicing) and
the working Delco AM radio that are all set within easy reach.
Under the hood is proper Chevy small block power. This 350
cubic-inch V8 has an honest style that also makes it easy to see
upgrades like the Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Summit
intake. You'll also spot the right respect for the fundamentals,
and that's why this is a strong-running total package. There are
nice driving features, like power steering, power brakes w/discs in
front, and a three-speed automatic transmission. Plus, the wheel
upgrade means the grip of better modern tires.
This Impala has been given a mix of proper preservation and the
right added investments to be one of the most interesting hardtops
around. So if you want to cruise something quite distinctive, and
