($60)The 1982 year was the first Corvette hatchback, with a
frame-less glass lift-up hatch in place of the customary fixed
backlight. This particular example was factory ordered in a unique
two tone 'Silver over Claret' metallic paint accented by Red Sports
Stripes. Alloy wheels and removable glass roof panels were added to
this unique car. The body-color front bumper with Sports Striping
also had a built in air dam. Also standard were concealed wipers,
time-delay courtesy lamps, headlamp on reminder, lighted visor
vanity mirror, a 7,000 rpm tachometer, an analog clock with sweep
second hand, a lighter and a trip odometer and a 'Cross-Fire' TBI
fuel injected engine. This particular example is in exceptional
condition throughout with very striking special order two tone
paint and Sports Stripes with the Red Leather interior and the trim
also in excellent condition throughout and the car has factory
correct 'BF Goodrich Radial T/A' tires. Seemingly always primarily
dealer or Corvette specialists serviced with a clean Carfax report
and a recent service including all new A/C equipment retrofitted to
R134a! The car was obviously always garaged and has had absolutely
no rust or signs of any any accidents! All the options are working
as they should including all gauges and lights and newly
retrofitted air conditioning. This is obviously one very rare and
highly desirable example of this classic American sports car - a
completely rust and accident free special factory ordered 1982
Chevrolet Corvette with only 31K original miles in completely
original condition throughout! An obviously always garaged and
unabused example! The engine purrs imperceptibly under the hood and
the automatic transmission shifts smoothly through the gears - an
absolute pleasure to drive without any of the older Corvette
typical shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable daily driver that
will give any modern day sports car a run for its money!Without a
doubt you will look long and hard to find a finer example of this
last and most collectible year for the 'Mako Shark' generation with
only 31K original miles and in this unique two-tone color
combination with Sports Stripes and a Red leather interior with
Glass T-Tops - perfect for the enthusiast or any classic car
collector!
