1954 Ford F-100 Resto-Mod
Car History
The second-generation of the Ford F-Series trucks was produced by
Ford starting in 1953. The introduction of the F-Series marked the
divergence of Ford car and truck design, developing a chassis
intended specifically for truck use.
This 1954 Ford F100 we have here at Adventure Classics is a hot rod
truck that still has original good looks with a cool stance, but
with an upgraded lowered suspension and chassis out of a Ford
Explorer that is all-wheel-drive as well as 5.0 power and interior,
to make it a street-ready classic.
Engine & Drivetrain
When you pop the hood you know you are seeing a labor of love. It
does not have the original Ford powerplant but has the upgraded
lowered suspension and chassis out of a Ford Explorer that is
all-wheel-drive as well as a 5.0 fuel injected engine powering it
for a great power increase as well as an upgrade on the handling
and ride quality.
This is a strong-running motor backed up by an 4-speed overdrive
automatic transmission, power steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes,
heat and air conditioning.
Add in fat black wall 20" performance tires on classy 20" 5-spoke
grey/polished lip custom aftermarket wheels and you have a powerful
package that gives you a mix of vintage and performance for that
great lowered stance.
Interior
Ours has a great camel tan straight bench seat interior as well as
matching door panels that have been custom made to match, and the
headliner looks excellent.
The complete custom interior package including the dash has been
redone to compliment the original style but upgrade it with an
AM/FM/CD stereo radio, tilt steering wheel assembly, tinted glass,
tan carpet, and controls for all the systems including the air
conditioning and heat.
So it is quite a comfy total setup and you will ride in a more
modern style with the comfort of a late model ride.
Exterior
Our 1954 Ford F-100 truck has a true vintage style that is always
fashionable. The dark sinister black paint looks great as it flows
over the forward swing hood, rounded cab, and step side bed that is
all part of this timeless classic appearance.
There is the addition of front and rear painted roll pans, running
boards and steps, tonneau cover, a full wood bed, rear mounted gas
tank, with the look and raked stance giving it just the right
street looks and appeal.

The custom 1954 Ford F100 hot rod truck we have here at Adventure
