1998 Ford Mustang Cobra SVT - 4.6L V8 - 5 Speed Manual - 88k Miles
- Red Over Black Interior (Please note: If you happen to be viewing
this 1998 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra on a website other than our Garage
Kept Motors site, it's possible that you've only seen some of our
many photographs of the car due to third-party website limitations.
To be sure you access all the more than 150 photographs, as well as
a short start-up and walk-around video, and a link to the Mustang's
accident-and-damage-free Carfax history report, please go to our
main website: Garage Kept Motors.) New-Age technology,
old-fashioned performance €" MotorTrend, 1995 Presenting a
spectacular 1998 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra in fetching Laser Red.
Showing 88,265 miles, the all-aluminum, hand built 4.6L v-8 retains
its original Ford Special Vehicle Teams builder's tag. Fords foray
into overhead cam engines would set the stage for decades to come.
Modern performance Mustangs have this car to thank for their
success. Live out your mod-motor RADwood dreams today! The exterior
€" Laser Red was the second most popular color choice in 1998
replacing 1997's Rio Red. Paint shines well and overall body
presents with no dents or major flaws. (To best assess the quality
of the paint and trim finishes, please be sure to view the close-up
photographs of the car in the accompanying gallery.) Two minor
accidents are reported on the Carfax and were repaired, leaving no
lasting signs of damage. All glass and light housings are clear and
free of cracks. Correct Cobra-specific hood is free of blemishes
and all plastic is uncracked. Both sinister snake emblems are
present on the fenders, as well as the SVT trunk badge, and the car
wears the correct Cobra rear bumper. Cobra R wheels are wrapped in
275/40/17s in front and meaty 315-35/17s out back. The interior €"
Black leather presents throughout the cabin. Well-bolstered front
bucket seats show some wear but are free of tears and major cracks.
Black carpet is free of rips, and interior plastics and dash are
crack-free. A four-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel frames easy
to read white-faced gauges. Factory CD player is enhanced by a
trunk mounted Bazooka subwoofer. Two sets of keys with fobs are
included. (Please view the close-up photography in the gallery to
assess the condition of the SVT Cobra's interior surfaces.) Under
the hood €" 305 thundering horsepower are barely contained within
the hand-built 4.6-liter modular engine. Four valves per cylinder,
four overhead cams, and all aluminum construction made it one of
Fords most advanced engines to date. Retaining the original tag
with builders' names engraved, it is all original, save an
aftermarket air filter. While the more than 175 high-definition
photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup video available
on the GarageKeptMotors website showcase this '98 Mustang SVT Cobra
in detail from every angle, including from below, we expect and
encourage in-person inspections at our Grand Rapids, Michigan
showroom. Please call to arrange an appointment in advance as our
showroom is not open to the public. And feel free to get in touch
