Vehicle Description
This 1996 Chevrolet Blazer 4x4 is attractive for far more than its
beefy style. This is a loaded SUV that's practical, distinct, and
affordable. So it's just a bonus that it happens to be a cool
modern classic that has been under the care of the same family
since new.
This final generation of the S-10 Blazer had an attractive shape
that felt sporty. After all, these two-door SUVs seem to pay
tribute to the 1930s coupes with the forward-leaning c-pillars, and
the same timeless attraction is in the sleek rounded rear. But when
they were highly optioned like this LS-level example, they also
paid a true tribute to the classic K5 Blazers by being both
two-door machines and true off-roaders. And its ability is on full
display. It has a taller stance, flared fenders, and a full-size
spare on a swing-away mount. The value price can leave room in your
budget if you want to personalize this Chey or give it a respray,
but we already see a different kind of appeal here. We're told this
has been with the same owner for a quarter-century, and then only
recently given to his son. So it has clean lines, good respect, and
the overall originality of a one-family vehicle.
The LS trim was a premium package, and so the interior also gives
you all the best comforts. It includes well-contoured front bucket
seats with the driver's one power adjusting to the ideal position.
There are also power windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, a
tilt steering column, cup holder center console, an upgraded
AM/FM/CD stereo, and provisions for factory air conditioning (it
will need servicing to blow cold again.) This is an actual mileage
vehicle, and so it has been used, but it looks far from abused. So
you'll happily drive solo in bucket seat comfort, or this even has
the legroom where the adults will happily ride in the rear. There's
plenty of room behind the second row to store everyone's gear, and
there's even a trailer hitch so that you can bring even more fun
along with you.
Under the hood is the correct 4.3-liter V6. This fuel-injected
Vortec motor was the largest and final evolution of the S-10 Blazer
line, and so it's the one you really want. It has a good driving
nature, and because these motors were a mainstay at Chevy, a good
tune-up is a good way to fully unleash the full power. This is a
true 4x4, and the two-speed transfer case is engaged via buttons on
the dash. So you never have to get out and lock hubs if you decide
to hit the trails. But this is made for more than just the off-road
life. That's why there's also the four-speed automatic transmission
with highway-friendly overdrive and cruise control. Power steering,
power brakes, and front discs make for a solid driving appeal.
This two-door Blazer mixes today's love of SUVs with an always
appealing 4x4 sporty attitude. So it makes for a terrific modern
classic that's also quite affordable. Call now!
