Corvette Z06 Commemorative Edition At the end of the C5 generation
Corvette, an optional Commemorative Edition was offered to
celebrate Corvette's back-to-back class victories at the 24 Hours
of Le Mans. The Commemorative Edition package included special
LeMans Blue paint with silver and red striping as seen on the C5-R,
crossed-flag embroidery on the seat headrests, silver front and
rear emblems recalling Corvette's success at Le Mans, a unique
lightweight carbon-fiber hood and special Z06 polished wheels with
commemorative center inserts. Only 2,025 examples were produced and
are among one of the most collectible modern Corvettes! Under the
hood is the same 5.7-liter LS6 V8 (405hp) mated to a six-speed
manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Features include
a carbon fiber hood, racing stripes, polished wheels, a head-up
display, dual-zone automatic climate control, power accessories,
and Bose speakers. Special FE4 suspension contributed to the Z06's
fearsome performance, which also translated into historic racing
victories on the international stage with a record highlighted by
back-to-back GTS-class wins in the 2001 and 2002 24 Hours of Le
Mans. This example offered here for sale was sold new at Landmark
Chevrolet Corp in Houston, Texas as per the original window
sticker. With just 6,228 miles on the odometer, it presents in
showroom conditon and comes fully documented with owner's manuals,
window sticker, service recietpts and more. Limited in production
with only 2,025 units built, the 2004 Commemorative Edition Z06 is
widely acknowledged as one of the finest C5 Corvettes and therefore
