Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Beautifully maintained, desirable 560SL in beautiful
white paint on blue interior! This iconic piece of German
engineering is in fantastic shape showing proof of excellent care.
You just can't beat that color combination!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this 560SL is clean and straight, as one
would expect for a well-maintained car of this caliber. While it
shows some minor signs of use here and there, this car looks to
have been meticulously taken care of all of its life. All emblems
are in place and have a brilliant shine! The body on this car is in
beautiful condition, and must be seen in person to be fully
appreciated.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: This 560SL looks to be wearing its
original white paint, which is never a bad choice on a 1980s
Mercedes. The blue soft top really highlights the white as well. The
paint is in good condition with a bright shine!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: Much like the exterior of this car,
the interior is in remarkable condition for the age of the vehicle.
While some areas show signs of age, the interior is in great
condition! The leather is showing normal creasing, as seen in the
photos. The dashboard, which is an area prone to cracking on these
cars, is in great shape courtesy of a properly installed matching
blue dash cover. The sun visors are showing minor sun damage, but
nothing out of the ordinary for a 30+ year old convertible! The A/C
is cold, and the radio and other electric items function as
expected.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is what makes the 560SL one of
the most desirable SL models ever produced: the 5.6L V8! The engine
in this car purrs like any good Mercedes-Benz should, and provides
more than adequate power for a car this size. It feels very solid
to drive, and handles like only a German touring car can. This car
fires right up, and is a blast to drive! While it may not have the
instant power of a supercharged Mustang or Camaro, there's not a
single moment behind the wheel of this 560SL that you forget you're
driving a powerful and sturdy vehicle.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The classic color combination, and
fashionable classic Mercedes look!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: Maintenance can be pricey on
these cars, so if you're looking for something to tinker on in the
garage on the weekends, this probably isn't it.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The A/C works, but only blows out of the
defrost vents.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Any Mercedes-Benz enthusiast
looking for a clean R107 560SL!
