Vehicle Description
This 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme was born a big 455ci V8 car,
and it keeps that classic attitude with that powerhouse still under
the hood today. But you can also instantly see they gave this one a
healthy dose of great upgrades everywhere from a plush A/C interior
to the super-sleek paint. It makes for an award-worthy total
package.
The Cutlass Supreme coupe of this era was already a car of
interesting distinction. It keeps the sporty hardtop silhouette
like the Holiday fastback, but it has a traditional roofline to
give it a more mature presentation. So you still get the long hood
and a sporty kick-up behind the doors, but now the rear fenders are
even more crisply defined. This sophistication is terrifically
showcased by the paint. The burgundy sets the right tone as it
gives you the sporty red vibe but with a deeper/refined attitude.
And the good gloss and nice metallic element showcase the good body
lines. The whole package is all about being sleek and powerful.
That's why you have the custom hood scoop, deleted badges, smoothed
locks, and the bright rear bumper is notched like a 442 to fit the
big exhaust tips. Plus, the wheels really bring the whole package
together. They are Body Coddington units that have a touch of
classic salt flat style and plenty of modern shine, and they are
staggered for an extra meaty rear set for the right intimidating
stance.
The performance attitude continues with the all-black interior. But
even as aggressive this one is, it never loses its Oldsmobile-level
of comfort. The seats are a custom setup with soft suede-like
inserts, and the door panels have been done to match. There's also
a smooth dash, good carpeting, and an excellent headliner. You'll
appreciate everything, right down to details like the working
courtesy lights in the rear pillars and the vintage premium
wood-like trim. There are great features for everyone to enjoy the
ride, like the AM/FM/XM/CD stereo and cold-blowing air
conditioning. But of course, on a car like this, the driver is
treated special. You have a fold-down center armrest up front for
individual comfort, a sports steering wheel, and a full round gauge
package with upgraded tach.
Even with all these great features, your favorite will undoubtedly
be under the hood. We all love the Olds 455 cubic-inch V8, which
was a monster motor that found a home in its best offerings like
the 442. So not only does this special coupe still have its
original numbers-matching 455 V8, but also you can see it was made
to be showcased. After all, why else would the block, oil pan, and
master cylinder all be painted to specially match the exterior
burgundy??? It inhales deeply through a correct Rochester Quadrajet
four-barrel carburetor and an upgraded Edelbrock intake. It exhales
with authority out of the rumbling H-pipe dual exhaust and
MagnaFlow mufflers. And because Olds was used to offering the large
horsepower and torque that the Rocket 455 produced, the TH400
three-speed automatic transmission was up to the task of handling
it with ease. There are more muscle car components, like the W-27
rear diff, boxed trailing arms, and rear sway bar. But more than
just a big power machine, this Cutlass Supreme still serves its
dual luxury and performance nature well. After all, features like
the power steering, power brakes, and front disc brakes are a solid
recipe for an all-day cruise on your favorite roads.
This is a very cool and custom classic that gives you distinction,
comfort, and power. Don't miss this deal, call today!
