1987 Mercedes-Benz 420SEL Let me start by saying that this isn't
just your run of the mill 1987 Mercedes that someone has used and
abused and has been out in the weather. This is a special car and
the price reflects that. It is worthy to be entered into car shows
and should also earn an 'AACA Preservation of Original Features'
Badge for its outstanding unrestored features. It has won trophies
at local events. This car was purchased new in South Florida by a
real estate agent. It was then sold to a retired Navy Admiral who
owned it for over 20 years and did not drive it much. The 3rd owner
was a car collector who only drove it to car shows and for weekend
fun. I am the 4th owner who is reluctantly selling... The car now
has just over 100K actual miles (turned in my possession), has
always been garage kept, and still has all of its original Ivory
paint and Palomino interior. The radio and wheels are the only
items that have been updated from original, although I do have the
original wheels which are in perfect condition (see photo with
stock wheels). The hard to find Sentra wheels were added this year
with a brand new set of Michelins and come with two extra hubcap
centers. The wheels are completely re-chromed/restored. If the next
owner prefers the originals over the Sentra Wheels, I am willing to
reduce the price to compensate... The car has all working
gauges/lights, cold A/C (new compressor), updated power steering
pump, new exhaust, new floor mats, new wiper blades, and a recently
detailed engine compartment for display. The car just received a
complete bill of health check up and is ready for a long trip. The
alignment and check of the front end was also done at the time the
new tires were put on. This car runs well, drives absolutely
straight, and smooth! If you love these cars the way I do, don't
buy something that isn't already nice. Spend a little more and get
