DETAILS OF CAR:

Paint

  • Flawless paint finish without any noticed imperfections in workmanship, professionally performed in approx. 2018 by Advanced Auto Body Inc

  • Documented 23 step body & paint process included in pics (see pics)

  • Very shiny & highly reflective paint finish that has been expertly polished smooth

  • Professionally accomplished in every way including details near edges and seams

  • All painted panels match properly

  • Current owner says the car has never seen rain since body restoration

  • Being brutally critical, a couple pin head sized nicks on front and one nick behind LF tire (see pics)

Body

  • Laser straight or as close as you could possibly imagine

  • Flawless body panels with no waviness, dimples, creases, or denting

  • Body fits of each panel have appropriate gaps between them (see pics)

  • Proper panel fitting is a contributor to having no chipping between them

  • Complete description of body restoration in website pictures (see pics)

Magnetic paint gauge

  • With a couple random readings on each painted body panel, each is of steel construction and measure in the area of 15-30 mils of materials. This in our opinion would be typical of a restored body receiving a show quality finish.

Chrome

  • Chrome appearance in general is mostly like that of a 1-2 year old vehicle.

  • Owner indicated that much of the chrome was re-plated during the body restoration. (see pics)

  • Areas that show a little more then 1-2 yrs wear would be front convertible top strip and drivers mirror with minimum pitting (see pics)

Glass

  • Windshield and both door glass include the “SICURSIV Climaglass” signage

  • Glass condition is again like that of maybe a 1-2 year old car showing almost no indication of wear or age

  • It is all very clear, with no discoloring, no delamination, no bulls eyes, cracks, or wiper marks

  • Rear window is very clear with hardly any age showing (new when top replaced) (see pics)

  • A couple of pin head sized nicks detected on windshield but not noticeable

  • Passenger glass track needs attention so it will align properly (see pics)

Cloth Top

  • New top and cover were produced & installed professionally in approx 2018 by current owner

  • Top and cover are clean with rich color, fresh like new stitching, and it’s obvious it has had very little exposure to even sunlight.

  • Car was built new with a Black top but current owner felt a color similar to the interior color would be more appealing. (see Heritage Certificate)

  • It was very cold out when we originally took pictures and we didn’t want to chance damaging rear window. Top down pictures are included from the Stan Hywet fathers day car show

Interior

  • In general, Interior is as designed and manufactured by Jaguar without changes in design

  • Headliner as expected looks nearly new with the top frame showing a little wear in some areas (see pics)

  • Sun visors were fabricated for current owner and have good material and seams with a somewhat pliable structure inside

  • Leather seating area was replaced in approx 1990 but has been cared for with proper PH cleaner and oils. It is very soft and shows slight wear on drivers bolster and edge repair. Foam retains decent support. (see pics)

  • Rear storage compartment, carpet, covering, and vinyl surrounding is all in nice presentable condition showing a slight amount of fade on top

  • Seat belts are in good condition with good color but the retraction on the drivers belt doesn’t work freely as it should

  • Dash black portion and top panel shows minimum wear with good color

  • Gauges were all opened and cleaned by current owner and show as very clear

  • Door panels, rocker panels, show minimum wear. Tops of door panels, seat edges and seat backs are made of a slightly more antiqued type finish (not dirty)

  • Carpeting has good color, minimum wear, and protection of Jaguar mats

  • Switches, gauge surrounds, and console show good shine and minimum wear

  • Engine starts quickly warm, accelerates, and decelerates engine speed as designed and seems to operate very smoothly & properly. (12 cylinder characteristic)

  • Steering seems responsive and smooth without issue. Owner indicated new suspension components did slightly improve responsiveness. Seems to operate as designed

  • Clutch operation is very smooth, user friendly to new drivers, and seems to operate correctly

  • Transmission shifts smoothly and easily flows from one gear to another. All 4 forward gears and reverse engage easily and seem to work properly
