This 1982 Jeep CJ7 Renegade has a lot of fun with its distinction.
It may have a military-style look, but this 4x4 has terrific
features like the full hardtop, Bluetooth radio, a five-speed, and
a big investment in a fuel-injected heart. So it makes for an
overall experience that's well above the government pay grade.
The upgrade to military olive drab green on this is a perfect fit
for this CJ. After all, it instantly reminds you of the Jeep's
roots. Plus, the matte finish is the right mix of modern appeal and
a rugged attitude that you want on an off-road machine. Plus, the
green is also utilized on the wheels, spare tire, and removable
hardtop for a coordinated look. Then you add in the black accents
of the Renegade decals, soft doors, fender flares, and military
star. It all makes for an off-road ready 4x4 that also has some
added thoughtfulness to get attention when you're just driving on a
Sunday.
As good as this looks with the color-matched hardtop in place, and
it even has a sunroof, this one was made to look good and be
functional while open to the world. The deep green returns on the
dash and most other pieces coordinate with the outside's black
accents. There have been investments in proper outdoor fun. You
have well-bolstered high back bucket seats finished in
weather-resistant vinyl. The floor is done in rugged paint with
robust floor mats for you and your passenger. But this Jeep has the
right comfort upgrades, too. You have a locking center console with
cup holders, a JVC AM/FM/CD head unit with Bluetooth, and Kenwood
speakers mounted on the rear roll bar. This is also a solid driver.
The classic three-spoke steering wheel feels grippy in your hands,
it's on a tilt column, and the five-speed manual transition has a
crisp action.
Under the hood is AMC's 4.2-liter inline-six. It's a
long-established hardy powerplant, and we have receipts showing
thousands $$$$ invested in this only about a year ago. So it's a
fresh powerhouse upgraded with fuel injection, a Clifford aluminum
intake, an Airaid air intake, and a header package. So you get a
stronger powerhouse and the ideal level of control with the
five-speed. Power steering, power brakes, front discs, and Kumho
tires make for a great cruising package. But a true Jeep knows how
to keep going when the pavement ends, and so the two-speed transfer
case gives you proper 4x4 traction.
This is the CJ with a distinct style, comfortable upgrades, and a
strong fuel-injected heart. So when the right one comes along, you
know you got to act quickly to grab it. Call today!!!
