This exquisite car was built at the Arlington, TX plant and sold new in Cleburne, TX. We have ownership history and know it has been held as a collector car for much of its life. It has lived in TX, CO, MT, MO and IA. Between the maintenance records and the inspection reports, it is quite easy to document the 40,720 miles.
These are fabulous cars to drive. The LT1 fuel injected engine has plenty of power and is quite durable. The 4L60E overdrive transmission is also known to be durable. When you couple the overdrive transmission to a rear axle containing 2.93:1 gears, you will appreciate exceptional fuel economy for such a large and luxurious car.
This car is fully loaded, as are most of the Fleetwoods. It has power steering and brakes, power trunk release and closure, power windows and locks and full power for both sides of the front seat. It has Cruise Control, Level Control and Traction Control. The Climate Control operates the heat and air conditioning to your chosen temperature. There is Illuminated Entry, Courtesy Lighting, Map lights, dual lit Visor Mirrors and a third brake light.
The head lamps are actuated by the Twilight Sentinel. There are Cornering Lamps. The outside mirrors are both power adjusted and heated. The rear windshield has a defogger and the steering column tilts.
The sound system has AM/FM/Cassette choices in stereo sound through six speakers. Also included with the car is a Sirius radio system that plugs into the Cassette. There is a full-sized spare tire. The fuel door is the rear license plate and it is locked when the doors are locked. This car has remote keyless entry with an alarm. It has Pass Key Anti-theft. For safety, it has front air bags and anti-lock brakes.
The trunk contains a Dealer Brochure, the original Owner’s Manuals, a VCR educational tape, the Original Window Sticker and an envelope containing maintenance, inspection and ownership documents.
The original floor mats are in great condition. The gold keys are with the car. The car is completely original in every way, meaning paint, interior and powertrain. The Cast Aluminum wheels look great and are without oxidation or curb rash. The Taupe paint shines brightly and has yet to be touched up. There are just a few small stone chips, but nothing visible from 5 feet. The Taupe leather is gorgeous and in perfect condition. The stainless steel cladding along the rocker panels in perfect. There really are no cosmetic flaws to report.
The owners of this car have all lived where the climate was good for the preservation of a car. It has obviously not been driven on salted roads. You will concur when you inspect the car yourself.
All features of this car work as they should. Recently, the battery, starter and master cylinder were replaced. We drove it over 200 miles upon purchase and it performed flawlessly. It used very little gas.
This is a great road car. It is heavy, so the ride is great. Yet, due to the power of the LT1 engine, it is not sluggish. It handles very well and will compete at speeds well above any posted limit.
Due to the great care it has received, it will show very well anywhere you choose to display it. This car has been held as a Collector Car for over twenty years. It has always been garage kept and owned by people of means. When you see it, you will understand and appreciate this. As will all who have the opportunity to inspect it.
