1965 CHEVROLET C10 LONGBED, RESTORED AND INCREDIBLE NICE!!!
This TOTALLY restored 1965 Chevy pickup has undergone an extensive, many year total restoration, no expense spared. Most work was done by the owner, a long time classic car mechanic. He has owned the truck for 12 years and spent many years restoring it.
The owner started with an excellent local Arizona truck since he wanted a rust free example to start with.
He then painstakingly and meticulously spent years restoring every component on the truck and today he has put 5000 miles on it since finishing the job and the truck is completely finished including the important shake down miles!
He has the next restoration job started and asked us to sell this beautiful truck for him.
Totally rebuilt 1966 327 V8 including a hotter cam, stainless headers, rebuilt, original aluminum Powerglide transmission. Totally rebuilt and upgraded rear end (cost $1480) front end, chrome, interior, stainless exhaust with cross over pipe (cost almost $1500), beautiful paint job inside and out, it is the original color, green/white, new glass, shocks, tires and on and on.
A rare factory tach was added to the original dash. Because he lowered the truck a little in the back he had a custom made 2 piece drive shaft made. 8 inch wide tires in the back makes for more bite in case a driver want to step on the gas. He has never floored it, the truck does have a nice punch when stepping on the gas though.
The original tail gate is of course with the truck, just not installed as I took the pictures. He is worried that the chains might scratch the paint! There is an aftermarket tail gate locking system included that does away with the chains.
The truck runs better today than it did in 1965 when new and it has been driven enough that the bugs have been worked out. It is a finished truck, not an 80% done restoration!!!
This is something as rare as a completely driveable show car/truck!!! You can drive it cross country as you see it.
It would be difficult if not impossible to find a nicer 1965 C10 without spending a lot more money buying it!!! The restoration work alone is worth twice the asking price!
