The mileage displayed on the odometer is 14,314, but the superb quality of the restoration-including selective tasteful upgrades-gives the car a presence that demands attention. The 327-4-speed manual combination makes this a special and highly desirable muscle-car model. The quality of the exterior Black Cherry metallic paint is uniformly smooth with a high gloss across the entire, slightly raked body. The color flows beautifully across the cowl-induction hood, vinyl-free roof, and rear-deck spoiler. All surfaces-including door jambs and the underside of the hood and trunk lid were properly painted. Chrome bumpers, window and body trim, and grille surround retain excellent shine and reflectivity. The black billet grille with retracting headlight covers retains its functionality. Proper factory badging includes the Camaro-script front emblem, 327 front-fender engine designation, and rally-sport lettering. Cabin glass and all lighting lenses are clear and unmarred. The race-inspired lower-front, matte-black spoiler is a custom metal piece which replicates front spoilers seen on other Camaros. Marquez Billet tail lights, Ring Brothers door strikers, and Billet fuel door are a couple of other exterior details. 5-spoke Billet Specialties multi-piece wheels are mounted with staggered-width BFGoodrich g-force performance tires. Red-painted brake calipers and cross-drilled rotors can be seen through the open-wheel design. Inside, the black-leather upholstery is the result of a full custom installation as part of the restoration work. Seating surfaces feature a classic-style design. Cabin carpeting is black and protected with Camaro-branded black carpet mats in front. A black headliner is properly installed with no sagging or wear damage. A 3-spoke, wood-rimmed sport steering wheel with brushed-metal trim and bowtie-emblem, fronts the black dashboard with metal-trimmed operating pedals below. The instrument cluster has been upgraded with a full array of Auto-Meter engine-monitoring gauges as well as speedometer and tachometer. The woodgrain-trimmed center stack hosts the slide-lever controls for heat and ventilation above a Delco push-button AM radio with a Pioneer audio unit mounted below the dash. The shift lever for the four-speed manual transmission is located on the center console. Under the hood which is supported by billet-aluminum, complex hinges, the 327-cubic-inch V8 commands a spotless, properly laid-out engine bay. The engine is a balanced and blueprinted (by Paul Mecure) 327ci V8 bored .60 over and features Dart heads, Comp Cam, a Holley Sniper EFI, BeCool radiator, MSD Ignition components, Hooker headers, FlowMaster mufflers, and electric exhaust cutouts. Finned, bright-metal valve covers and an open-style air cleaner cover add visual flair. Viewed from below, the chassis is very clean and free of damage. The race-style exhaust headers and collectors, the full-length dual-exhaust system with cut-outs and cross pipe, and the Detroit Speed suspension all compete for visual attention. The Camaro's unaltered original VIN plate remains mounted. Few muscle cars enjoy the status of
