For Sale: 1963 Chevrolet Impala in Arlington, Texas

Vehicle Description

1963 Chevrolet Impala

In the early 50's Chevrolet made history with the introduction of the BelAir and their prowess in the automotive industry continued on into the late 50's and 60's with the Impala. The BelAir name remained but now the Impala was the king of the road. Distinguished initially by their triple taillights the Impala was top of the line and proved to be very popular in the market. All the way through the mid 80's the Impala was Chevrolet's most sought after full size vehicle. This 1963 Chevrolet Impala belongs to the 3rd generation and was a unique time in the automobile design world. The classic prominent 1950's fins went from flattened in the previous generation to now being basically non existent. It was a unique transition as we moved into the muscle car era. While this beautiful Impala has the vintage look it has been entirely redone and the result is a modern performance machine. The current owner purchased the car in 2016 at auction and at that time was a fully frame off restored car. The body is very straight and wears a beautiful gloss Black paint job. Black is one of the toughest colors to get right and this one was without a doubt done right. All of the chrome and stainless has a beautiful shine with zero issues throughout. The car has a beautiful stance and the US Mag custom wheels on it are stunning. They really look perfect on the car and are wrapped in BF Goodrich G-Force low profile tires.

When the current owner got the car he took it into a professional shop to have some things improved like replacing the shocks, putting new mufflers on it, and installing the AC. It was already a nice car at this point but in 2018 they decided to really take the car to a new level. The car previously had a V8 naturally aspirated motor but they decided to bring it into the modern performance era with a LS3. It was a brand new motor when installed and the work was all professionally done. It has been dressed up with nice polished components throughout and a custom Black and Silver cover. The firewall is also nicely smoothed out and painted to match the body. The motor runs extremely well and offers all the power you could ask for. It is kept running cool at all times, even in the Texas weather, with an aluminum polished radiator with condenser and electric fans. During the build all of the wiring was redone as well as many other upgrades including all new fuel lines, a new gas tank, new power steering system and more. All of the work on it was documented with receipts backing up everything. The transmission is a new 4L70E automatic that shifts smoothly with zero issues. The car has power brakes with Wilwood front discs and the power booster was replaced in 2019. The suspension has all been upgraded with KYB shocks, coil overs and CPP tubular A arms. It rides down the road very smoothly. The car also sounds awesome with custom dual exhaust that exits towards the side just in front of the rear wheels with dual tips.

The custom interior is all finished out in Black leather and in excellent condition throughout. The custom door panels feature nice chrome handles, custom trim, and arm rests. The car has dual bucket seats that sit to each side of the original style SS center console with automatic shifter. The dash is painted all Black and features a mostly original style layout but has been upgraded with aftermarket Dakota Digital gauges. The stereo system sounds great and it has a classic style radio. In front of the driver sits a tilt column topped off with a custom steering wheel. The trunk was all reupholstered as well and in great condition. These cars certainly weren't lacking in trunk space so you have plenty of room for all of your car show gear.

This clean Impala is very well done and is ready for the road. Everything that was done to it has made it into the type of car that wins plenty of awards and also can also be driven anywhere. It has 716 miles on it since the LS motor was installed so has a long life ahead of it.
