This 2008 Ford Mustang GT convertible has more attitude than a
supercar, a supercharged V8 with a nitrous option, upgraded
suspension, and a fully loaded style. So it's a true exotic offered
for a price that won't break the bank.
You know this is no ordinary Mustang from the first moment you lay
eyes on it. Sure, the upgraded GT trim is already aggressive, and
the factory Ebony Black paint retains its great shine to draw in
attention... but there's much more here. The front end shows off
the best in competition history with the center fog lights and hood
scoop reminding us of the best classic Shelby Mustangs. And the
carbon fiber front splitter is pure modern track machine. There's
even more carbon fiber for the full body kit, rear diffuser, and
Steeda rear wing. The full package makes sure you know this Mustang
has gone over to the dark side. The grille, gas cap, deeply tinted
windows, and tail lights are all mean as midnight. And the 19-inch
AMR black alloys are the perfect finishing touch to something this
dark, mean, and stylish.
The black convertible top keeps the full midnight style, and so
you'll be happy to take it down and see the blackout continue. This
is loaded with all the best factory features like keyless
entry/alarm, power locks, power steering, cruise control, tilt
steering wheel, dual airbags, side airbags, and ice-cold air
conditioning. Plus, power windows and a power convertible top mean
you never have to leave the driver's seat to open this one up to
the world. But all of that comes from the Mustang's premium
catalog. This is a very custom machine, and the real-deal carbon
fiber center console upgrade really helps set it apart. Plus, you
also have a built-in radar detector/diffuser, blackout bezels, and
CDC styling/strengthening bar with brake light. The radio is now an
AM/FM/CD touchscreen infotainment unit that runs the Bluetooth, a
backup camera, and a full Hertz stereo speaker system with two
12-inch subwoofers. And the Hurst shifter, A-pillar readouts, and
aircraft-style NOS switch are all part of how this one integrates
plenty of added speed into its style.
The factory 4.6-liter modular V8 is a terrific motor, but this is
an exceptional car. So it starts off with the upgrade of being
stroked to the famous 302ci/5.0-liter fuel-injected V8. This is a
forged rotating assembly setup that also includes pored heads with
a three-angle grind, ARP bolts, blower cams, Ford Racing roller
rockers, and 52 lbs. GT500 injectors. It's topped with a Whipple
2.3L twin-screw supercharger with an intercooler. And whenever
that's not enough, this also has a 55 shot of nitrous. There's even
an STS tuner. The full package is said to have been built only a
few thousand miles ago and dyno'd at 655+ horsepower. Making sure
you are in firm control of all this power is the five-speed manual
transmission upgraded with a McLeod twin-disc Kevlar clutch and
lightened flywheel. You even have a Hurst line lock and MSD
two-step launch control to be the first off the line. And as you
look underneath, you'll spot the fully upgraded suspension that
includes Ford Racing FRPP Suspension (struts, shocks, bushings,
sway bars, and lowering springs), a Whiteline K-brace, welded
subframe connectors, BMR rear racing control arms, and Whiteline
watts link. And there are also Wilwood four-wheel power slotted
disc brakes and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires to complete this
handling package.
There are a ton more custom details on this awesome custom
convertible. And since we don't have the room to go over it all
here, give us a call for all the details on a thoughtful and
powerful blackout pony.
