Vehicle Description
This 1965 Shelby Cobra Factory Five is about style and substance.
That's because it's a quality Factory Five machine wrapped in a
sleek and modern finish. And beneath this skin are components from
an SVT donor Cobra and supercharged V8.
The marron gives you the race car kind of red you want, but in a
darker tone for more distinction. And a quality application and a
metallic element mean this one also has an extra pop in the
sunlight that makes others jealous. And those silver painted
stripes add to the sporty style and radiance. This is a desirable
Factory Five car that was completed in 2016 with only about 1,700
miles on the build, and so you have a terrific fit to the body that
lets the sunlight show off all those iconic curves. And part of
this legendary style is about putting the performance on display.
You see it with classic pieces like the roll hoop, push bumpers,
and bright side pipes. Plus, the US Mags alloys and the big/bright
brake calipers you see within signal an upgraded driver's
experience.
The interior does a terrific job of being vintage while giving you
the right upgrades, too. For example, you have the classic low-back
bucket seats. But now they have fresh padding on this low mileage
build and Simpson racing. The dash is dominated by crisp gauges,
including a large tach and correct reversed speedo. Your left hand
grabs the grippy three-spoke sports steering wheel (power
steering), and your right gets attracted to the American Powertrain
White Lightning shifter.
A great Cobra is all about the motor, and this one has a very
special powerhouse. For starters, it's a true Cobra motor... a
5.0-liter fuel-injected V8 borrowed from a '95 Mustang SVT Cobra.
It's a terrifically built powerhouse that includes a 90 mm mass air
flow sensor, 42 lbs injectors, a BBK throttle body, and an
Edelbrock fuel pump. And there's a Kenne Bell Blowzilla blower with
91 lbs pulley on top to supercharge your power. And the header-fed
side pipes have the right growl without being obnoxious. It has a
clean and ultra-tidy presentation of a low mileage build. It's
great that you have full control over it with a stout T5 five-speed
manual transmission with a Borg-Warner Brute Power clutch. The
undercarriage looks just as clean as the rest of the car, and so
you can easily see the strong chassis, adjustable coilovers
all-around, and four-wheel power disc brakes with drilled & slotted
rotors.
This is the sharp-looking Factory Five Cobra that supercharges your
track-ready dreams. Call today!!!
