Vehicle Description
Willys was a brand name used by Willys-Overland Motors, an American
automobile company best known for its design and production of
military Jeeps (MBs) and civilian versions (CJs) during the 20th
century. The lessons learned with the CJ-2 led to the development
of the first full-production CJ, the 1945-1949 Willys-Overland
CJ-2A. The CJ-2A looked very much like a civilian version of the MB
tailgate and side-mounted spare tire. One major difference between
the MB and the CJ-2A was the grilles of the two vehicles. The MB
had recessed headlights and nine-slot grilles while the CJ-2A had
larger headlights flush-mounted in a seven-slot grille. In place of
the MB's T-84 transmission, the CJ-2A was equipped with the beefier
T-90 three-speed transmission. The CJ-2A was still powered by the
reliable L-134 Go-Devil engine.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to bring to market this rock solid, 1946
Willys CJ2A for your consideration. The Jeep rides on new wheels
and tires with freshly done front and rear seats. The Jeep also has
a side mounted spare. The flat 4 cylinder runs excellent and shifts
wonderfully through its manual gears.
This 1946 Willys Jeep CJ-2A is an excellent jeep that shows very
well and is ready for it's next owner. If you are in the market for
a Willys that will take you back in time, this is the car for
