A bright red style, even brighter wheels, a feature-filled
interior, and upgraded V8 power are all about making this 1979
Chevrolet Camaro a distinct classic with a cool cruising
attitude.
This was the debut year for the Berlinetta trim line. It was about
taking a more luxurious and personal approach to the Camaro. It
wasn't a coddler, but it also wasn't as boisterous as the Z/28.
This one continues that legacy even with its upgrades. For example,
the red paint is bright and vibrant, but it's also not so
over-the-top that you'll worry if the finish sees dust or rain. The
hood shows off clean lines without any scoops and that works well
with the crisp sheet metal that runs the full profile. In the rear,
they couldn't resist the added flair of the Z/28-style three-piece
spoiler, because after all, it looks awesome. But where the Z-cars
had a dark front end, this has a bright grille and even brighter
headlight bezels. It puts a nice face forward and goes well with
the upgraded 18-inch US Mags wheels.
The black interior looks great against the exterior red. It's well
presented on the dash, carpets, headliner, and seats. This classic
shows its level of Berlinetta comfort with nice classic features
like factory air conditioning and an AM/FM stereo with an 8-track
player. The sporty NK4 steering wheel, armrest center console, and
full gauge package - including tach - remind you that this Camaro
is a true driver's car.
This was born a V8 car, but what's under the hood right now is
younger, larger, and more powerful. It's a 350 cubic-inch V8 that
has been enhanced with an Edelbrock AVS2 four-barrel carburetor, an
Edelbrock performance intake, and a newer dual exhaust. It's a
solid powerhouse that makes for quite an attractive all-around
cruiser. That's because you also have a three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and grippy
modern sport tires afforded by the wheel upgrade.
This Camaro was born to be a premium cruiser, and so it's great to
see it uphold that legacy today with the right mix of vintage and
upgrades. Call today!!!
