2019 Modelled as the Tiffany, this Mercury Cougar platform coupe
appears as the of the type of car piloted by Cruella De Vil. Built
until the early nineties they are few and far between, with this
model being one of the only offered by CMC to be factory built.
Rumor has it that just 50 examples were produced, a speculative
point that can never be proven as all documents relating to the
company were destroyed. Offered here is a 1988 Tiffany Classic
Coupe in very chic (posh) white over red. Produced by Classic Motor
Carriages in Florida, this rare, up-to-date, original California
automobile's odometer currently reads 22,726 miles. Beyond the very
low mileage, the condition of this special vehicle indicates it was
always treated with care by prior owners. While the graceful
fenders, twin side-mounted spare-tire carriers, sloped classic
grille, and relatively low roofline may draw inspiration from
historic automobiles like the Mercedes SSK, the Tiffany Classic
Coupe makes its own impression, and in doing so turns heads. With
the four air horns in front and the strapped luggage compartment
out back, the car makes a statement coming or going. The exterior
white paint shows well across the sculpted, flowing, fiberglass
body: excellent gloss, and smooth-as-glass finish. The impressive
chrome treatments on the car include the canted front grille, 6
faux, hood-side-exiting exhaust tubes, freestanding headlights,
twin-bar bumpers fore and aft, spare-tire-carrier trim, mirror
caps, and door handles, all of which exhibit high shine. Tinted
cabin glass and all lighting lenses are clear and free of damage or
cracks. Factory emblems include the CMC wreathed hood ornament,
similar trunk emblem, and a Classic Tiffany script badge on the
lower rear. Chrome 15-inch wire wheels (with CMC-emblem center
caps) are mounted with whitewall-with-gold-stripe tires. Inside,
the bright, red color theme is arresting. Horizontal-design, red
leather upholstery covers the front buckles, front armrest, and
rear bench seat, all under a red headliner. Red carpeting is in
place on cabin floors, and red door trim includes carpeted lower
kick panels. A black, CMC-branded, multifunction steering wheel
frames a digital instrument panel including both tachometer and
speedometer as well as a trip computer. The shift lever for the
automatic transmission is mounted on the steering column. The
woodgrain-trimmed center stack hosts the Ford-branded radio and
climate controls while power-window, mirror, and door-lock switches
are forward of the center armrest. Under the hood, the 5-liter,
fuel-injected, Ford V8 commands a clean and stock engine bay. All
components-including air conditioning-are properly installed with
no evidence of performance modifications. Viewed from below, the
Ford running gear is complete. The Tiffany's original
identification and information tags remain as mounted at the
