Nicely documented, well-maintained, and a nearly impossible low
mileage... this 1994 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra is something quite
special. And when you see the way this modern classic muscle
machine has been maintained and is well-documented, you'll almost
feel like you were getting this coupe brand new from Ford.
1994 was the debut year for the new Mustang styling, and this style
arguably started a revolution second only to the original cars
launched three decades earlier. So a benchmark Mustang like this
needs to have all the right touches in place. A great example is
the factory Rio Red. The original paint still holds the kind of
luster that will give you pride at the car shows, and that's thanks
to careful ownership and the amazingly low 154 TOTAL mileage. This
one still carries all the great Cobra touches up front, like the
unique fascia, hood scoops, and coiled snake fender badges. Plus,
in the rear, there's the proper spoiler with LED brake light. In
fact, this one looks factory-correct right down to the special
Cobra 17-inch wheels. So it has been cared for just as you would
have if you bought it new 28 years ago. That age is another
interesting factor. It has passed the quarter-century mark, and 30
years is approaching quickly. So that means it's eligible for
classic car registration/benefits in many states and many more
soon. And you can just imagine how cool such a car that looks this
factory fresh would be on antique plates!
The interior retains its time capsule status while also giving you
every comfort and performance feature you could want. The SN-95
redesign gave the Mustang a world-class cockpit, and the
ultra-premium Cobra seemed to get every comfort and convenience
option. It starts with those supremely comfortable tan leather
seats. The front buckets are deeply bolstered to hug your body for
performance driving, and the driver's one is even power-adjustable.
White-faced analog gauges, a leather-wrapped wheel, and a
well-placed stick shift were also all part of the performance
package for the driver. Plus, power windows, power steering, power
locks, cruise control, dual airbags, anti-lock brakes, premium Mach
460 AM/FM/cassette/CD stereo, and cold air conditioning make this a
true modern classic.
Ford's iconic and powerful 5.0-liter V8 was revised and upgraded
for 1994, giving the Cobra a total of 240 horsepower. That's 12
percent more than the standard GT and even more than the famed
Cobra R of the previous year. The cast aluminum intake manifold was
unique to this model, along with GT40 iron heads, a roller
valvetrain, larger fuel injectors, and a 70mm throttle body. This
Mustang is remarkable in that the numbers-matching powerplant looks
just like the day it left the factory, right down to the rubber
boot over the distributor. In fact, you'll still spot what appears
to be the correct production markings and decals.. and that's a
level of care and preservation that is becoming rarer every day.
But we bet you won't be able to resist at least adding some extra
miles to the odometer. After all, you're in complete control of
this powerful motor and the growling dual exhaust as you run row
through the five-speed manual transmission. Handling is also worthy
of the Cobra name thanks to the limited-slip rear end, sway bars
front & rear, and four-wheel disc brakes.
This Cobra comes complete with all the right documentation, such as
the owner's manual packet, warranty card, and a Marti Report. It's
a beautiful performance machine that has been cared for since new
the same way you would have done it. So if you're looking to turn
back the clock to 1994, this preserved Cobra does it right. Call
